Little Kickers Swim School provides personalized, one-on-one swim lessons that not only prioritize water safety, but also nurture a lifelong affinity for swimming. With a highly individualized, and experience-driven approach, we are able to zone in on each child’s unique needs with regard to their performance levels, learning styles, and strengths.
Little Kickers Swim School is part of the Active Enterprises family alongside Kickin’ It Kids Gym. Founded by two sisters, Yael and Daphna, this business was built with the desire that every child in the area would have access to high-quality swim instruction and develop a life-long love of the water. Our passion is helping raise active children while teaching life skills and bringing the community together in a safe, unparalleled environment.
JOB OVERVIEW
As a Deck Supervisor at Little Kickers, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety, efficiency, and effectiveness of our swim lessons. You will oversee swim lesson activities from the pool deck, evaluating swimmers, providing instructor feedback, and assisting with any client or instructor issues that may arise. Your keen observation skills, communication abilities, and dedication to maintaining a clean and organized aquatic facility will contribute to the overall success and satisfaction of our swim school.
This role will report to the Aquatics Operations Manager.
Monday PM and Saturday AM shifts.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Evaluate and Assess Swimmers
- Conduct swimmer evaluations and skill assessments, documenting progress and milestones to track individual development and inform instructional planning.
Assist with Instructor/Client Issues
- Serve as a point of contact for instructors and clients, addressing any concerns, questions, or issues that may arise during swim lessons and providing prompt and effective resolution.
- Collaborate with instructors to address challenging situations or behavioral issues with swimmers, offering guidance, support, and alternative strategies for managing difficult situations.
Aquatic Facility Cleanliness
- Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the aquatic facility, including the pool deck, equipment, and amenities, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and creating a safe and welcoming environment for swimmers and staff.
- Assist with routine cleaning and maintenance tasks as needed, such as sanitizing equipment or replenishing supplies to uphold facility cleanliness standards.
Swimmer Evaluations
- Conduct periodic swimmer evaluations to assess skill proficiency and readiness for progression to the next level of swim lessons, providing recommendations and guidance to instructors and parents regarding appropriate placement and goals for further development.
- Conduct level-ups for students
Instructor Feedback
- Conduct coach evals on a rotating basis, ensuring that coaches are meeting the standards of the business
- Provide immediate feedback when necessary, offering insights and suggestions for improving teaching techniques, communication strategies, and lesson plans to enhance the quality and effectiveness of swim instruction.
- Bring any performance issues to the attention of management
PREFFERED EXPERIENCE
- Completed and passed Level 3 Swim Instructor training
- High emotional intelligence and empathy skills, with ability to empathize with and support both our customers and team members
- Team player mentality
- Understanding of servant leadership
- Ability to multitask and prioritize importance of workload
